For most people, graduation feels like a right of passage. A time to celebrate growing up and moving on. But for those incarcerated, the idea of graduation is all but a dream. Common Good Atlanta works to make those dreams become a reality. By connecting Georgia’s colleges and professors with Georgia’s prison classroom, Common Good Atlanta provides a way for our students to start Building A Brighter Future.

At Common Good Atlanta, we believe that broad, democratic access to higher education strengthens the common good of all communities and plays a key role in helping restore dignity and reconnect people to their own humanity. Our shared humanity connects us to one another, and education is essential for both strengthening civil society and enabling individuals to transform their lives.
